The Man I Love by Suanne Laqueur
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Honestly, I received this book for free from the author in exchange for a review. I was hesitant because I don’t normally read romance novels..I am a horror/supernatural kind of gal. The author wrote a great synopsis so I was intrigued and I wanted to read the book.
From the beginning, Daisy and Erik’s relationship was addicting. I had to keep reading! I had to see how things progressed and I found myself lost in the perfectness that every girl dreams of.
Throughout the story, the characters introduced to us were each unique and well crafted. I love each of them and then at times hated some of them. The detail and creativeness this story offers is one of a kind.
The story itself was well articulated and I found myself inside the story compliments of the detailed descriptions. The dancing and dancing lingo was foreign to me but the detail depicting the moves made up for my own lack of knowledge.
As the book takes a quick left and fills with trauma, violence and uncertainty a whole new set of emotions develop for these characters. You get to see the characters rise and fall, at their best and at their worst.
The story is elaborate and incredibly addicting. I didn’t want to put it down and I truly enjoyed this book! The author did a phenomenal job and I would definitely read more from her.
