Cutthroat Carmine by Jackie Y. Wang

Right away we are introduced to Carmine who is a tough, bad ass no bull shit kind of character. She is a half-blood vampire and this concept was quite interesting and different from other vampire books I’ve read. Carmine meets Sebastian who desperately tries to break through her walls of steel. Just when you think she might actually start to give in, some twist in the story occurs.
This story had a good base and was interesting all the way through. I enjoyed reading it and learning more about the characters. The author did a great job designing and delivering each character and the story that unfolds. I enjoyed the freshness and can’t wait to read book 2.
