This book starts out introducing us to several sets of characters with a small hint of who they are and their background.
The Defense Intelligence Agency is investigating the possible terrorist threat or upcoming attack. The Special Agents are racing against the clock to figure out what kind of attack was in motion and where this attack would take place. Just as soon as they narrow it down to a possible airplane hijacking, they get word that Flight YX 924 has indeed been hijacked.
I enjoyed the development of relationships between the passengers on the plane, some were strangers getting to know one another and others such as a lovely married older couple were anxious to see their grand baby.
The twists and turns of events was quite intriguing. The storyline was engaging and kept me turning the page to see what would happen next. I enjoyed the insight into one of the hijackers life and the reluctance but persistence to follow orders.
The ending was unexpected, but leaves you anxious to read the next book to see what happens!
